We are excited to add the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to the list of cities that are using Nextdoor to enhance neighbor-to-neighbor communication and safety!
Today the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, including Deputy Chief Foster, Captain Cunningham and Officer Botzenmayer, officially announced it will be using Nextdoor to improve engagement between its residents and to foster neighbor-to-neighbor communications.
The residents of Charlotte have embraced Nextdoor as a way to easily communicate with neighbors – 70% of Charlotte neighborhoods are already using Nextdoor to stay connected and updated on the things that matter. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, will be able to post important news, services, programs, free events, and emergency notifications to the neighborhoods’ Nextdoor sites.
Charlotte joins Durham County as the second law enforcement agency in North Carolina to adopt Nextdoor and joins other progressive cities like Dallas, Denver and San Diego that understand the powerful role technology plays in creating safer, stronger cities.
