We’re kicking off the new year in a big way – by partnering with the largest sheriff’s office in Texas!
Starting today, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office will use Nextdoor to provide important information like crime and safety updates to residents using the platform.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is, not only the largest sheriff’s office in Texas, it’s the third largest in the United States. This is the largest sheriff’s office and county to join the Nextdoor platform in the company’s history.
Already, more than 375 neighborhoods in Harris County use Nextdoor.
“Communicating and watching out for each other are the most important things that we can do,” said Harris County Nextdoor member, Carol Jones. “Knowing what is going on around us is only going to make us more aware and more alert.”
We are excited to partner with such a progressive Sheriff’s Office to continue to help make Harris County neighborhoods stronger and safer.
