Starting today, the Tucson Police Department is heading online to fight crime.

In a press conference led by Police Chief Villaseñor this morning, the Tucson Police Department announced their partnership with Nextdoor to help facilitate virtual neighborhood watch across the city.

More than 100 Tucson neighborhoods are already using Nextdoor to connect their communities. Now, the Police Department can join the conversation by posting crime and safety updates, event details, and other hyperlocal information to neighborhoods citywide.

Our Director of Partnerships, Jeremie Beebe, headed to Tucson to celebrate the announcement with the Tucson Police Department. Tucson joins other innovative cities in Arizona who have partnered with Nextdoor, including Phoenix, Chandler, Peoria, and Mesa, to create stronger and safer communities to call home.

From all of us at Nextdoor – welcome to the neighborhood, Tucson Police Department!
