Public Agencies Across the United States Partner with Nextdoor, Celebrate Milestones

Yesterday, we were excited to announce new partnerships and celebrate the success of existing public agency partners all across the country.

On the other side of the country, Mayor Kevin Faulconer announced that the City of San Diego will begin using Nextdoor to improve citywide communications. The press conference also celebrated two years of partnership between Nextdoor and the San Diego Police Department. Thanks to the Police Department’s encouragement, participation in neighborhood watch grew by more than 500%.

The Fargo Police Department shared the good news with residents that they will be using Nextdoor to connect with them on a neighborhood level. Fargo PD Officer Jessica Schindeldecker, Police Chief David Todd and local residents held their own press conference today to make the announcement official. The Fargo Police Department is the first public agency in the entire state to partner with Nextdoor.

Mecklenburg County, which covers the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area, announced a partnership with Nextdoor. The County was inspired by the success of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, and is excitement to make the county’s neighborhoods stronger, better-connected places to call home.
