Tomorrow, communities across the country will gather at neighborhood block parties, parades, flashlight walks, and meetings to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community relations – sending a message to criminals that crime won’t be tolerated.

Started in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out (NNO)* is celebrated annually by more than 38 million neighbors in over 16,000 communities across the county.

“We’re excited to announce a new National Night Out Events Map that will help neighbors discover National Night Out events nearby.”
This year marks our fourth year as an official NNO sponsor.

Nextdoor members are passionate about keeping their communities connected and safe – whether that means using Nextdoor each year to plan their NNO events or every day to keep their neighborhoods safe.

This year, we’re excited to announce a new National Night Out Events Map that will help neighbors discover National Night Out events nearby. As people across the country prepare for NNO, we encourage neighbors to add local events to the Events Map so others can more easily find the event and help celebrate National Night Out this year. To add an event to the map, simply follow this link and click “Add Event.”

Coming together and getting to know our neighbors and local agencies is an important part of building stronger and safer places to call home. Tomorrow, Nextdoor employees participate in NNO events in their neighborhoods to meet with neighbors, celebrate our local communities, and chat about Nextdoor.

We look forward to seeing your pictures from this year's events tagged with #NationalNightOut.
