Find the Treats on Your Neighborhood’s Streets with the Treat Map

Written by ndmulti

Once again, trick-or-treaters across the country will hit the candy jackpot this Halloween with the Treat Map.

The Treat Map allows you to mark your home with a candy corn icon to let your neighbors know you will be giving out candy. Thanks to the Treat Map, little ghouls and goblins can plan their routes ahead of time to make a beeline straight to the candy or find the spookiest haunted houses on the block. Parents and neighbors can also know where the trick-or-treaters will be throughout the night, whether on their computer or on-the-go with Nextdoor for iPhone and Android.

To mark your home on the Treat Map, follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign in to your account. If you are not yet a member, you can sign up and verify your address to ensure you don’t miss out on the fun.
  2. Visit your neighborhood map. You’ll be given the choice to add a candy corn or haunted house on top of your home. If you live in or plan to visit a multi-tenant building, just click on the building to see the details of who will be participating in that building.
  3. Encourage your neighbors and friends to place the appropriate icon on the map so you’ll know exactly who is handing out candy or hosting a haunted house.

Whether you’re on the hunt for a bag full of candy or the biggest fright, we hope you have a very happy, haunted Halloween. Enjoy the sweets!

  • We love the treat map idea, but we are a tiny neighborhood surrounded by other small neighborhoods. It would be great to be able to see treat and haunted house locations in surrounding neighborhoods. Is there a way to do that?

  • This is really dumb. Whoever thought of this has never been trick-or-treating. It is so easy. Follow other kids. A house with no lights on means people aren’t giving out candy. Are you really going to check your phone after each house? YOU DO NOT NEED AN APP.

    • look obviously you have not been trick or treating in awhile and you obviously have no idea how the ap works for one a lot of neighborhoods only have 1 maybe 2 houses giving out candy so you go from neighborhood to neighborhood looking for several houses in a row this ap shows which neighborhoods have the most houses participating it also shows all of the attractions and pumpkin patches in the area it’s not checking every individual house it’s a time saver especially for people new to an area or parents of toddlers

  • I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I enconter a blog that’s both educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you’vehit the nail on the head.
The issue is something which tooo few folks are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy that I stumbled across this during my hunt for something relating
    too this.
