Miami Police Department Joins the Nextdoor Neighborhood

Written by Anne Dreshfield

Today, our Senior City Strategist, Robbie Turner, traveled to Miami, Florida to join Miami Police Chief Rodolfo Llanes in announcing our partnership with the Miami Police Department.

Nextdoor is already well-adopted across Miami. More than 60 neighborhoods, representing nearly 50% of the neighborhoods across the city, are using Nextdoor to communicate about the things that matter most in their neighborhoods. The Miami Police Department joins the City of Miami, the Miami-Dade Police Department, and several other local public safety and government agencies in the greater Miami area on Nextdoor.

Chief Llanes believes that this partnership will enable the Miami Police Department to build stronger and safer communities with the help of Miami residents.

“Being able to easily communicate with residents is extremely vital to not only maintaining, but also increasing safety and reducing crime within our communities,” Chief Llanes said at today’s press conference. “With Nextdoor, we can help empower neighbors to keep their communities safe and connected.”
