Residents can now engage with Tucson.com directly on Nextdoor

Written by Annie Barco

Here at Nextdoor, we believe that local community is improved when neighbors engage in informed civic dialogue about the local issues that matter most to them. Thus, we’ve continued to welcome trusted and respected news partners to the Nextdoor platform to enhance this dialogue and provide neighbors with the opportunity to share their voice.

Today, we are excited to announce our first news partner in Arizona, Tucson.com, the online affiliate to Arizona Daily Star. After a great initial response,Tucson.com is officially letting all Tucson neighbors know that they can now connect with the paper on Nextdoor.

On Nextdoor, Tucson.com will be able to engage the community in the stories it works on by posting open ended questions and Nextdoor polls on Nextdoor. Tucson.com can also share hyperlocal news stories with residents down to the neighborhood level, meaning Nextdoor members in Tucson will only see stories that are relevant to them.

Like all news partners on Nextdoor, Tucson.com will not be able to see into the neighborhood conversations on Nextdoor, but can hear from residents through private message or in the replies thread of posts they share on Nextdoor.

To share your voice and participate in the local conversation with Tucson.com, head to www.nextdoor.com/tucsonnews.
