Welcoming Craig Lisowski to the Neighborhood

Written by Nick Brinkerhoff

Nextdoor is excited to welcome Craig Lisowski as Head of Data, Information Systems & Trust.

As Nextdoor continues to expand and grow globally, we are thrilled to have Craig join the team working closely with data engineering, data science/BI, and IT teams to build stable and scalable data platforms, focusing on platform integrity, and building out our third-party business systems to streamline operational efficiency across all teams.

“Craig’s deep experience leading complex, cross functional problem-sets, seamlessly scaling and gathering people from across an organization will be an accelerant for the company,” said Nextdoor CEO Sarah Friar. “Craig’s addition is an asset for our members, customers and the team at Nextdoor.”

Craig brings more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience in engineering, data analytics, business development, and third-party business systems and IT. Most recently, Craig was Head of Business Platform Engineering at Square for nearly six years, where he grew and led a team of over 150 people on both internal and customer facing systems. Craig oversaw traditional corporate information systems and IT teams, built large scale data systems to track money movement for all products, led multiple engineering functions for compliance, direct e-commerce sales, customer success and handled all internal management reporting.

Growing up in Canada and attending Carleton University, Craig moved to the Bay Area in 1999 to work for Silicon Graphics in information systems. After his tenure at Silicon Graphics, Craig held various technology and business leadership roles at VeriSign and Oracle before landing at Square.

Please join us in welcoming Craig Lisowski to the neighborhood!
