Celebrating super amazing neighbors with the Nextdoor 100

Written by Team Nextdoor

Announcing the inaugural Nextdoor 100: neighbors recognizing neighbors for the difference they make in their communities

Local heroes are important pillars of our neighborhoods, and they rarely get recognized. At Nextdoor we’d like to change that, and today we are launching the first ever Nextdoor 100!

The Nextdoor 100 is a celebration of neighbors, recognized by neighbors, for the difference they make in their community. So many neighbors have gone above and beyond to support their neighborhoods — spreading joy, offering help, performing acts of kindness. Let’s get them the recognition they deserve!

Neighbors can nominate fellow neighbors, local business owners, and organizations who have shown exceptional kindness and generosity. We will be announcing an expert judging panel, as well as more exciting updates before announcing the winners in May.

Nominate your neighbor today!

Together, we can shine a light on the power of people helping people. To nominate your neighbor, all you have to do is:

  • Share their story
  • Add a picture of the nominated neighbor
  • Describe why you think they deserve the recognition

Entries are now open until May 8, 2022, so be sure to get those submissions in! The full terms and conditions are linked here.

Block Party and winners celebration

To celebrate our winners, we will be hosting Block Parties around the U.S. and we’ll be announcing those locations soon!

At Nextdoor, kindness is core to our purpose: to cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on. Neighbors around the world turn to Nextdoor daily to receive trusted information, give and get help, get things done, and build real-world connections with those nearby — neighbors, businesses, and public services. Let’s come together and celebrate our super amazing neighbors!

Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
