Celebrate the 2022 Neighborhood Favorites local business winners

Written by Shannon Toliver

Nextdoor’s annual Neighborhood Favorites are here! For the sixth consecutive year, Neighborhood Favorites awards local businesses that have been voted by real neighbors who live in the community.

Local businesses are the core of our communities. From restaurants and coffee shops to bookstores and landscapers, Neighborhood Favorites are the businesses that make our neighborhoods feel like home. Whether it’s dishing out an extra scoop of ice cream to cheer up a child or changing plans on a Sunday to fix a customer’s leaky faucet, these businesses are there for their neighbors and in return the community loves them.

The 2022 Neighborhood Favorites is a time to recognize and support the small businesses that are helping build strong neighborhoods. We reached out to the Nextdoor community to encourage neighbors to vote for their favorite local spots and share why they love them. Today, we are thrilled to announce the winning businesses in your city are now available at nextdoor.com/favorites so you can continue to discover new favorites and support the local economy all year round.

This year, we are proud to announce that the top 10 winners nationwide will be awarded a $500 credit in Nextdoor Ads to help continue growing their business. Take a look at the most-loved favorites across the country:

The leading category of 2022 winners was home service providers followed by go-to restaurants, pet care, and pizza places. There are over 55 million global business recommendations on Nextdoor and only 2% of all U.S. businesses on the platform were named as a 2022 Neighborhood Favorite. It is a true honor, and good for business, to be voted by your most loyal customers — neighbors.

All Neighborhood Favorites winners are awarded a badge on Nextdoor for greater visibility. If you’re a local business owner hoping to connect with the community and turn neighbors into customers, get started by claiming your free Nextdoor Business Page to create an online presence. From there, you can gather recommendations, engage neighbors when and where it matters most through Business Posts, and grow your business through Nextdoor Ads

Thank you for continuing to show up for your beloved local businesses. To continue to spread the love, check out our new guide to support small businesses and leave them a recommendation on Nextdoor
