Voting for the 2026 Fave Awards is open now through September 30. Any neighbor in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. can vote for free at nextdoor.com or in the Nextdoor app, and every neighborhood will come away with its own list of the local businesses its neighbors actually rely on.
A Fave is a recommendation from a verified neighbor about a business they've personally used. Businesses collect Faves year round on their Nextdoor Business Page, and once a year the businesses with the most neighbor support are recognized as Fave Awards winners. The more faves you have, the more prominently you appear in the voting flow, search and on the new Local Faves hub on Nextdoor. This year's voting window runs through September 30.
A Fave comes from a verified neighbor, and it cannot be bought with ad spend. Search for a contractor or a dentist and you'll get pages of five-star ratings written by people you can't identify and can't ask a follow-up question. A Fave is different because you can see who it came from and where they live.Enough of those add up to a Faves count on the business's page — visible proof that people nearby trust the business enough to say so publicly.
Go to nextdoor.com or open the Nextdoor app and vote for the businesses you'd recommend. Voting is free and there's no limit on categories you can vote in, so the plumber, the hair stylist, and the coffee shop can all get your support.
Any local business can join Nextdoor at no cost by claiming its Business Page. From there, the fastest way for a business to collect Faves is to share its unique Fave link directly with the existing customers, by text, email, in print, or on social media.
Winners get a window sticker for the storefront and a trophy badge on their Nextdoor Business Page, plus featured placement in their neighborhood's Local Faves discovery hub. Official rules are on the Nextdoor Help Center.
Voting closes September 30. Learn more about the 2026 Fave Awards at business.nextdoor.com/en-us/small-business/fave-awards.
