We are working every day to make Nextdoor better for all of our users. Here's a quick look at what's new.
Comment thread redesign (February 2026): We've rolled out a refreshed comment thread experience designed to make conversations easier to follow. The update introduces visual thread lines that connect comments to their replies, along with refined indentation and a more compact layout. These changes help neighbors quickly scan discussions, find relevant replies, and participate in conversations more naturally.
Nextdoor News continues to grow (February 2026): Nextdoor News has become a go-to source for local information, with more than 4,000 local news publishers now on the platform. Neighbors are sharing over 100,000 articles each week, and news is now available in 96% of U.S. cities represented on Nextdoor. Recent additions include Scripps and Fox local TV affiliates, and NPR affiliates Connecticut Public, KAZU (Santa Barbara), WABE (Atlanta), WEKU (Kentucky), GPB (Georgia), KBIA (Missouri), WGBH (Boston), AZPM (Arizona), WHRO (Virginia), and WSHU (Connecticut). In the UK, we’ve added The Metro—the UK's most-read newspaper with the highest circulation—along with National World publications such as Yorkshire Post and The Scotsman.
#Stormhelp (January 2026): Hundreds of thousands of neighbors across impacted states during the major winter storm, Fern, that brought record-breaking snow and cold temperatures, turned to Nextdoor to ask for and offer help, share information, and more. 740 public agencies in 39 states, from the City of Dallas, TX, to the Bryant Police Department in Bryant, AR, and Maine Emergency Management Agency posted useful information that helped them stay safe.
Real-time earthquake alerts via USGS (December 2025): A new partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey brings real-time earthquake data directly into Nextdoor Alerts, helping neighbors stay informed when it matters most.
Real-time traffic and road alerts via Waze (November 2025): Our new partnership with Waze adds real-time traffic and road alerts to Nextdoor Alerts. Nextdoor neighbors in the US now receive traffic and road alerts, including accidents, road closures, hazards and traffic light outages.
Video ads for lead gen campaigns (January 2026): Lead gen campaigns now support video, making it easier for advertisers to repurpose creative they're already running on other platforms while driving high-quality leads.
TransUnion audience integration (January 2026): Advertisers using TransUnion’s TruAudience Platform can now enable the Nextdoor integration to activate their customer audiences directly in Nextdoor Ads Manager.
Nextdoor Ads Manager (NAM) test events manager beta release (February 2026): We’ve launched the Conversions Test Events Manager in Beta for advertisers using our Nextdoor Ads Manager (NAM) platform. This tool allows partners using the Nextdoor Pixel and/or Conversion API to send test events and verify their integration in real-time. We’re continuing to iterate on this tool to help advertisers seamlessly troubleshoot their events and maximize performance.
Yahoo DSP integration (December 2025): Nextdoor's high-value audiences are now available through Yahoo DSP, giving advertisers programmatic access to Nextdoor’s first-party, hyper-local audience of verified neighbors.
