Nextdoor on Good Morning America and World News Tonight

Written by Team Nextdoor

We’re honored that Good Morning America and World News Tonight included us today in their segments on package thefts.

With rising temperatures come an increased number of package thefts across the United States – and police departments are recommending residents use Nextdoor to stay informed.

We believe the more people who use Nextdoor, the safer our communities will become.

The segment features an interview with our member, Jon Landis, from San Jose, California, who used Nextdoor to post surveillance footage of someone stealing his wedding gifts off of his doorstep. The segment also features an interview with Lieutenant Perron, one of our outstanding public agency partners from the Palo Alto Police Department, who had surveillance footage flagged to him through Nextdoor – resulting in an arrest.

We’re thrilled that neighbors in more than 63,000 neighborhoods across the U.S. rely on Nextdoor. Research shows that knowing your neighbors makes you more likely to look out for them, and Nextdoor can be the first step toward getting to know your neighbors, both online and in person.

Today’s an exciting day, because more people now know about Nextdoor – and we believe the more people who use Nextdoor, the safer our communities will become.
